You may have heard by now that Artemis Singers will celebrate 40 years as a chorus next year in 2020. Do you know what other Chicago feminist organization is at the 40 year mark? Women & Children First Bookstore!

They are marking the occasion by holding a block party on Saturday, August 24, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in Andersonville near the store. And guess who is among the entertainers — yes, your favorite lesbian feminist chorus, Artemis Singers. Our set is at 2:00 pm, so please be sure to join us for this free celebration honoring one of Chicago’s finest gems.
