We welcome you to join us on Saturday, June 17 for a positive, upbeat concert celebrating families and friends.
We all have families – of origin and choice, of all kinds of connection. We create our families every day – for better and for worse. And for many of us, our friends ARE our families. We hope you’ll smile, laugh, and maybe cry a little.
We are all a big family of friends! Whether we know you already or not, you’re welcome. Whether you’re from the North Side, South Side, or suburbs, you’re welcome. So come and join us.
As always, our pride concert is followed by a kickass dance with great music, snacks, and fun!

The next Artemis Singers new member night is Thursday, February 9. We will be preparing for our Family of Friends, Pride concert and dance, to be performed June 17, 2017.
If you are a woman, love to sing, have Thursday nights free, and want to be part of a lesbian feminist chorus, consider joining us!
We currently rehearse on the northwest side of Chicago but are looking for possible other venues that are more accessible by CTA train lines (we are currently accessible by CTA bus and Metra). If you have a lead on a rehearsal space, please let us know!
Please get in touch by using the Contact Us form and we will get back to you with more details.
Artemis is seeking to commission an original song – specifically, a feminist political song, related to or about lesbians. Artemis Singers will perform this song during our 2017-18 season, as well as at the Sister Singers Network Festival.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a lesbian feminist woman composer with previous choral composition experience to get additional exposure for her talents, share an important message – and to receive payment for her work. We are looking outside the chorus for this work.
See more details here. Proposals are due September 1, 2016.
