LOGISTICS FOR OUR CONCERT TONIGHT:
Embracing the Night
Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 7:00 pm
Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church
405 S Euclid Ave, Oak Park, Illinois
For direct access to the performance space, please enter through the church doors on Washington St. Alternatively, a few yards to the right of those doors is a sidewalk leading to an accessible entrance.
Once you enter, there are coat racks handy in both of the side hallways. Please use them so we have more seating space in the church pews! Thank you.
If you already have your ticket printed out or on your phone: go directly to the center aisle doors and our fine ushers will check your tickets and you can head into the main floor or go up to the balcony seating.
If you are not buying tickets in advance: go to the box office and buy tickets onsite: $25 general admission, $20 students, or sliding scale option. Please have cash or checks for buying tickets onsite. Otherwise, you can use a smartphone to send us money through Zelle or Paypal or access the online ticket site.
See you soon!
t’s winter in Chicago. The days are short. The nights are long. It’s cold outside, so we stay inside. By lamplight, we have time to contemplate our lives. In the soft light of night, we consider those we love. Those we lost. Those we wish we could have been. Those we could still become.
When we embrace the night, we embrace possibility. The year in front of us. What we will plant in the spring and harvest in the fall. Not just the changes we know will surprise us, but the change that we will make for ourselves. We are gathering strength, in the beauty that is the night.
We invite you to venture outside and gather with us and others for this musical evening.
Enjoyed last night’s concert. One suggestion: please consider including a text sheet so that audience members may follow along. The singers, of course, know the lyrics. But they are not always clear to the audience. The message of your music deserves to be clearly heard. Thanks.
