Happy Solstice-tide

We’re settling in to a short break and then will dash back into rehearsals and preparations for our February 1 All About Love concert. We understand that some people like giving and receiving tickets as a holiday gift idea, hint hint.

Watch TV to hear about our singers and our purpose

We are on TV! On the Block, a news and features show on WCIU, recorded and produced a segment about us earlier this year and it was broadcast on Thursday Dec 19 on station the U Too. It will also air Saturday at 10:00 am and Sunday at 12:00 am on The U. The U is found on WCIU, Channel 26.1, XFINITY 183|1026, Astound TV 6, Dish 26, Direct TV 26, Spectrum Charter 22/616 and U-Verse 10/1010, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV.

Or you can just stream it right here. We hope you enjoy it.

Thanks so much to the producers and team from WCIU Shawn, Rebecca, and Alicia for featuring us and crafting this story.

Solstice music redux

If you are enjoying a quiet weekend, here’s a short video compilation of 5 pieces we made for you in the dark times of 2020. These are from our Winter Solstice concert in 2013, A Midwinter Night’s Journey.

Save the date for Love

Saturday night, February 1, 2025

Mark your calendar for our next concert “All About Love” — a celebration and examination of all kinds of love, featuring love songs, breakup songs, friendship songs, and lesbian songs. You’ll experience the many flavors of love: romantic, platonic, familial, self, unrequited, and others.

We will be performing at a new location with our 15 new members: VanderCook College of Music, Great Hall. VanderCook is in the Bronzeville/IIT neighborhood, 3125 S. Federal St. Chicago. More details to come. Tickets available now!

Meanwhile, you can see us on TV — December 19

Check out this Facebook posting to learn how to view the segment about us which is airing Thursday Dec 19 at 7:00 pm on WCIU’s “On The Block.” The segment will be repeated Sat and Sun and posted on their website.

Singing for the Sky

We had the honor and pleasure of singing the National Anthem at the WNBA Chicago Sky basketball game Pride Night on Thursday June 27. Here are some photos and videos of our performance.
