Artemis Singers, Chicago’s Lesbian Feminist Chorus, presents a concert that celebrates strength through connection. Power in Harmony explores the idea that true harmony is not the absence of difference, but the intentional blending of diverse voices and perspectives. Dissonance, when heard and recognized, can result in stronger resolutions and lead to greater unity within a community. 

Performing works written or arranged by women, including several Chicago-based composers and arrangers, this concert will feature pieces about social justice, equal rights, finding common ground, and creating change together. Artemis Singers seeks to share with their audience the bold harmonies that reflect both the music and the resilient lesbian feminist community that inspires it.

This concert is a preview of the set that Artemis Singers will perform when we host the 2026 Sister Singers Network Choral Festival this July. The 3-day festival will feature performances by more than 20 choruses from around the country, culminating in two 400-voice mass choruses on stage.
